August 25,2004 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council wee called to order at 8:30 <br /> m..August 25,2004,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Hatloe presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson;Council Members Krell,Olson,Hatloe,Gipson,Campbell, <br /> Stonecipher,and Overstreet were present. <br /> Council Mamber Olson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 15,2004 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed.Council Members Hatloe and Stonecipher abstained from the 1. <br /> vote. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> RECOGNITION <br /> Fire Chief Murray Gordon presented Council Member Campbell with <br /> plaque and patch from the Everett Fire Department acknowledging his <br /> experience as a City council member and for his support of the Fire <br /> Department. <br /> REPORT—COUNCIL POSITION N0.5 <br /> Council Member Olson reported that the screening committee's review of <br /> the applications for City Council Position No.5 had narrowed the list of <br /> eleven applicants to three Individuals. Drew Neilsen,Robert Strickland, <br /> and Jim Stanhord were chosen as finalists. <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member Krell <br /> to accept Drew Neilsen,Robert Strickland,and Jim Staniford as <br /> nominees to be interviewed for City Council Position No.5 at a <br /> public meeting to be held on September 2,2004. <br /> 270 <br />
