November 17,2000 <br /> generally referred to as the Everett Landfill site and ma Simpson site <br /> aa surplus to the Clty of Everett's existing and foreseeable needs, <br /> authorizing the Issuance of the notice of Intent to sell,and <br /> authorizing the Issuance of a request for qualifications of <br /> developers. <br /> Lanie McMullin,Executive Director,gave a brief background regarding the <br /> Everett Landfill and Simpson ekes and discussed the process to be used <br /> for their development. <br /> Peggy Toppel,11110 3"Place SE;David Mascarenes,517 Laurel Drive; <br /> Katrina Lindahl,2515 East Grand:Carme Collins,7720 Latimer Road <br /> Chairperson,Lowell Civic Association;Michelle Hoverter,5502 S.2'J <br /> Avenue;end John Witters,605 33'Street,spoke regarding the proposed <br /> resolution.They commented on the need to add additional information to <br /> the resolution regarding the results of the Llys review of the properties, <br /> to lease the property instead of selling it,and to maintain as much of the <br /> natural environment as possible. <br /> Roll called with all council uncil members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Overstreet who was excused <br /> Motion carded. <br /> AGREEMENT—ADVOCATENICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to authorize the Mayor to sign a professional services <br /> agreement with the Snohomish County Center for Battered Women <br /> to use federal domestic violence grant monies for one dedicated full. <br /> time advocate for outreach and legal advocacy services to victims of <br /> domestic violence. <br /> 373 <br />
