January 5,2005 <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Haeoe introduced a proposed resolution in support of the <br /> sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Shoup. <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> Moved by Council Member Nielsen,seconded by Council Member <br /> Olson to adopt Resolution No.55701n support of the sailors aboard <br /> the USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Shoup for their efforts in <br /> alleviating the suffering of thousands of tsunami victims in <br /> southeast Asia. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mayor Stephenson presented the resolution to Commanding Officer <br /> Captain Eddie Gardner,Executive Officer Steve McLaughlin end Master <br /> Chief Eric Emery,Naval Station Everett. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher congratulated Council President Krell on her <br /> appointment as City Council President. <br /> Council Member Overstreet stated that he will not be able to participate in <br /> the Martin Luther King activities this year due to a prior commitment. <br /> Council Member Gipson thanked Council Member Hatloe for his work as <br /> Council President and wished President Krell well. <br /> Council President Krell stated that agenda item no.9,to concur with the <br /> recommendations of the Everett Cultural Commission and award <br /> Financial Assistance Awards,has been pulled from the agenda. <br /> President Krell introduced a proposed resolution recognizing Ross <br /> Hoagland for his contribution to the Everett community. <br /> 2 <br />
