May 11.2005 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m..May 11.2005 In the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall. <br /> President Krell presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Krell,Olson,Hatloe,Gipson.Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher,and Overstreet ware present. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the May 4,2005 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> AWARDS <br /> Torn Thetford introduced Lonnie McBride,Margie O'Grady,Debbie Faust. <br /> Greg Moore,and Karen Miller who received awards from the American <br /> Water Works Association for their work on various forms of <br />• <br /> communicator.Mayor Stephenson presented them with their awards. <br /> PROCLAMATION <br />• <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed the week of May 15-21,2005 as"Public <br /> Works Week." He presented the proclamation to Tom Thetford,Public <br /> Works. <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Olson,on behalf of Sound Transit,announced that they <br /> will be adding a second daily Everett to Seattle run to the Sounder train <br /> schedule beginning June 6,2005. <br /> Council Member Overstreet stated that Mayor Stephenson has been <br /> nominated by the Association of Washington Cities as a candidate for <br /> their Western at Large position. <br /> 135 <br />
