July 6,2005 <br /> REPORT—JULY 4Te ENFORCEMENT EFFORTS <br /> Police Chief Scharf and Captain Greg Lineberry reported on the July 4°' <br /> police department enforcement efforts.It was explained that enforcement <br /> s extremely difficult fora variety of masons. Over 400 contacts were <br /> made and an additional 15 police officers were on duty.Over 400 pounds <br /> of fireworks were confiscated. Educational and enforcement efforts will <br /> need to continue.This year's efforts made a significant impact. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson reported he attended an event at the Eagles and <br /> the July 4 celebration at Naval Station Everett over the past week. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Jim Iles,City Attorney,requested an executive session regarding a real <br /> estate matter to lest approximately fifteen minutes with no anticipated <br /> announcement to follow. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS <br /> Moved by Council Member Overstreet,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to approve the following consent Items: <br /> RESOLUTION-CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No.5645 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br /> $988,606.16 for the period June 18,2005 through June 24,2005. <br /> • <br /> 200 <br />
