August 3,2005 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> m.,August 3,2005 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Krell presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Krell,Olson,Refine,Stonecipher and <br /> Overstreet were present. Council Members Gipson and Nielsen were <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Hatloe led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 20 Everett City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed.The minutes of the July 27,2005 Everett City Council meeting <br /> re approved as printed with Council Member Overstreet abstaining <br /> from the vote. <br /> MAVOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson stated that the National Night Out Against Crime <br /> events last night were a great su He thanked citizens and <br /> neighborhood leaders for their padicipafi ons <br /> REPORT <br /> Mayor Stephenson explained that each year the city has an annual audit <br /> by the State Auditor's Office. <br /> Debra Bryant,Chief Finance Officer,reported that the audit of the 2004 <br /> City of Everett financial statements has been completed. The State <br /> Auditors Office has issued an unqualified report on the financial <br /> statements.There were no findings or management letter Items and only <br /> minimala amount of exit conference items. For a city of this size end <br /> copexity this is something the city can be very proud of.Sirs thanked <br /> all city staff,the mayor and city council members for helping to make this <br /> happen. <br /> Mayor Stephenson also explained that the state auditors talked about the <br /> significant progress that has been made at the Events Center and through <br /> the Public Facilities District operation. <br /> 252 <br />
