November 16,2005 • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> p.m.,November 16,2005 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Krell presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Krell,Olson,Notice,Gipson,Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher,and Overstreet were present <br /> Billy Burton,Boy Scout Troop No.19,led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the November 9,2005 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as panted. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Overstreet commented on three events which took place <br /> in the City of Everett over the weekend;the State WIAA Volleyball <br /> Championships at the Everett Event Center,an Armistice Day Celebration <br /> at the Children's Museum,and the dedication of flags at the Snohomish <br /> County Plaza. <br /> APPOINTMENT—COUNCIL PRESIDENT <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet to nominate Council Member Stonecipher as City Council <br /> President for the year 2006. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Council Member Gipson stated that he and President Krell attended a <br /> Veteran's Day celebration at the Elk's Club on Monday. <br /> He remarked that the City of Monroe has adopted an ordinance regarding <br /> level two and level three sex offenders and questioned whether it was <br /> time for Everett to do the same. <br /> 377 <br />
