February 1,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 5:30 <br /> a.m..February 1,2006,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson.Hatloe,Gipson. <br /> Nielsen,Stonecipher and Overstreet were present. <br /> Council Member Hatae led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the January 25,2005 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed.Council Member Hatice abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson introduced a resolution honoring the life of Coretla <br /> Scott King. <br /> RESOLUTION—CORETTA SCOTT KING <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to adopt Resolution No.5726 honoring the life of Cereus <br /> Scott King. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> REPORT—SWIM CENTER FIRE <br /> Susan Francisco,Padre,gave a brief report on a fire at the Forest Pads <br /> Swim Center. She stated that an assessment of the damage is being <br /> conducted and estimated that the swim center will be dosed for <br /> approximately six weeks.She thanked the Police and Fire Departments <br /> for their quick response. <br /> 26 <br />
