February 8,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was celled to order at 8:30 <br /> m.,February 8,2006 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll cell it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson,Hatloe,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,and Stonecipher were present.Council Member Overstreet was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the January 25,2008 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATH—POLICE OFFICER <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to concur with the appointment of Bryan Hernandez as a <br /> new police officer. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Overstreet who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Deputy City Clerk administered his oath of office and Mayor <br /> Stephenson presented him with his badge. <br /> CHARTER REVIEW <br /> Mayor Stephenson stated that the City Charter calls for a review of the <br /> charter every ten years.The last review was conducted in 1998.It calls <br /> for the appointment of 14 members whose first meeting must occur prior <br /> to February 15.2006. Their first meeting has been set for Monday, <br /> February 13,2006 at 5:30 p.m.in the City Council Chambers.The 14 <br /> members will then select a 15.member as their first order of business. <br /> 31 <br />
