March 29,2006 <br /> WORKSHOP—CRITICAL AREAS <br /> Dave Koenig,Planning,gave an introduction to the workshop regarding <br /> critical areas. He stated that this is not a quasijudlcial matter and that <br /> council members may have discussions with citizens. <br /> Mary Cunningham,Planning,stated that the Growth Management Act <br /> requires that the City of Everett update its crical area regulations every <br /> seven years. She remarked that the City is required to designate and <br /> protect the functions and values of those areas sing best available <br /> science.She gavea brief slide presentation regarding the cddcal areas <br /> ordinance updates <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.0603-15 <br /> FIRST READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE adopting revised zoning code regulations for <br /> critical areas;partially repealing Sections 1 through 24 of <br /> Ordinance No.1838-91,as amended(EMC 19.37);amending the <br /> zoning code definitions for critical areas,amending Ordinance No. <br /> 1847-02,as amended(EMC 19.4.020);and amending local project <br /> review procedures,Ordinance No.2530-01,as amended(EMC <br /> 15.16.080.A) <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.0603-16 <br /> FIRST READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Attachment A to Ordinance No.2213- <br /> 97,an ordinance establishing a planned action for Southwest <br /> Everett to require compliance with revised critical area regulations <br /> (EMC 19.37) <br /> 91 <br />
