April 19,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,April 19,2006,In the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson,Hatloe,C:pson, <br /> Nielsen,Stonecipher,and Overstreet were present. <br /> Council Member Olson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the April 12,2006 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> YOUTH ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS <br /> Kate Reardon,Public Information Director,Introduced the selection <br /> committee and announced the winners of the 2006 Mayor's Youth <br /> Achievement Awards,Michelle Ellsworth,age 17,Everett High School; <br /> Ben Fritsch,Senior,Archbishop Thomas J.Murphy High School;Hazel <br /> Hossein,age 17,Mariner High School;Johnny Kuehn,Junior,Everett <br /> High School;Brittany McMahan,age 14,Eisenhower Middle School;Adis <br /> Ozegovic,age 18.Mariner High School;and Mlkayfa Whitley,age 16, <br /> Everett High School.She presented them with their awards. <br /> Kate Reardon,on behalf of the Mayor's Youth Council and Youth Service <br /> America,presented Mayor Stephenson with a 2006 National and Global <br /> Youth Sernce Day Honor Roll Membership for his work with the youth <br /> council on the"Get Moving Program.' <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Overstreet stated that he attended a meeting of the <br /> Traffic Advisory Commission where they addressed handicapped perking <br /> at the Everett Events Center.
