May 3,2008 <br /> • <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,May 3,2006,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Stonecipher presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson end Council Members Robed,Olson,Hatloe,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,Stonecipher,and Overstreet were present. <br /> Mayor Stephenson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the Apol 26,2006 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed.Council Member Gipson abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed May,2006 es"Lions Club of Everett Sight <br /> and Hearing Month.. He presented the proclamation to John Madden, <br /> Carol Pruitt,and Gary Councilman,representatives from the three Lions <br /> Clubs located within the City of Everett. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council l MLeemabgueers OlsCnPoeasndCGopenncreepoorted <br /> n WoonrhreceatnednAfcord:Mae <br /> Housing. <br /> Council Member Olson introduced a proposed resolution amending <br /> Resolution No.5721 which established a Charter Review Committee and <br /> defined their responsibilities. He remarked the':Resolution No.5721 <br /> requires that each proposed change to the Charter be placed on the ballot <br /> separately.The proposed resolution would emend the verbiage to allow <br /> the Charter Review Commission and the City Council the discretion to <br /> place the proposed changes on the ballot separately or as a single action <br /> incorporating all such recommended changes. <br /> t20 <br />
