• <br /> May 17,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order et 6:30 <br /> p.m..May 17,2006,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll cell It was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson.Gipson,Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher,end Overstreet were present.Council Member Hatloe was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Nielsen led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the May 10,2006 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed.Council Member Overstreet abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson thanked the City Council and the Everett Public <br /> Facilities Board for supporting the naming of the Edward D.Hansen <br /> Conference Carte, <br /> OC UNCIL <br /> Council Member Overstreet reported on his attendance ate National <br /> League of Cities Advisory Committee meeting. <br /> Council Member Roberts thanked all those involved in the recognition <br /> ceremony for Ed Hansen. He reported on his attendance at the <br /> Association of Washington Cities'Resolutions Committee. <br /> CITi2EN COMMENTS <br /> Desmond Skubi,1102 Hoyt Avenue,spoke on behalf of the Committee to <br /> Establish Downtown Public Spaces.He encouraged the City of Everett to <br /> move expeditiously to develop a park at the corner of California and <br /> Wetmore. <br /> M.J.Donovan-Creamer,2616 Baker.Chair,Riverside Neighborhood, <br /> urged members of Ne neghborhood to calm down regarding the sound <br /> 139 <br />
