• <br /> June 7.2006 <br /> Roll was <br /> called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> MemberGipson who voted no and Council Member Roberts who was <br /> excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Mayor announced that he will be presenting a certificate of <br /> recognition to the Everett Bah¢i community at the 2 annual'Race Unity <br /> Day'on June 11,2006. <br /> AWARDS <br /> Tom Thettord,Utilities,stated that the Pacific Northwest American Water <br /> Works Association recogn¢ed the City of Everett with two Excellence in <br /> Communication awards;one for the annual report end one for the <br /> purveyor news letter. He presented the awards to Greg Moore and <br /> Debbie Faust of the Utilities Department. <br /> UPDATE-SILVER LAKE CHILDCARE CENTER <br /> Warren Burns,Fire Marshall,updated the City Council regarding Michael <br /> Wright's concerns about the impacts of the SR527 road widening on the <br /> Silver Lake Childcare Center. He stated that after meeting with the <br /> Washington State Fire Marshall's office and City of Everett staff,they <br /> have agreed to extend Mr.Wright's deadline for providing a walkway from <br /> the daycare to July22,2006. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Overstreet stated that the 20120 Plus 20 Plan can now <br /> be obtained in written format or on disc as well as on the Puget Sound <br /> Regional Council's web site. <br /> Council Member Nielsen reported on his attendance eta conference <br /> sponsored by the Bill and Linda Gates Foundation regarding their Sound <br /> Families Initiative. <br /> 159 <br />
