June 14,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City CounGl was called to order at 8:30 <br /> m.,June 14,2006,In the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Stonecipher presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson,Hatloe,Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher,and Overstreet were present Council Member Gipson was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Overstreet led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June T,2006 City Council meeting v:ere approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PRESENTATION—PUGET SOUND REGIONAL COUNCIL <br /> Bob Drewell gave an update of the activities of the Puget Sound Regional <br /> Council and spoke regarding the Prosperity Partnership's economic <br /> efforts. <br /> Mayor Stephenson announced the reopening of the Forest Park Swim <br /> Center on Saturday,June 10,2006.and reported on his attendance at the <br /> dedication of the Mike Jordan statue at the Everett Performing Arts <br /> Theatre. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts stated that he attended a reception for the <br /> opening of the new Everett Dance School.He reported on his attendance <br /> at the Planning Commission meeting where they adopted and <br /> recommended the downtown plan. <br /> 166 <br />
