July 12.2006 <br /> Council Member Roberts convened with Council Member Overstreet's <br /> comments regarding Puget Sound and stated that the City of Everett has <br /> taken a leadership role in this area by adopting a shoreline master <br /> program consistent with the new Washington State guidelines. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Johnston introduced an emergency ordinance regarding <br /> homeless encampments. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO,0607-35 <br /> FIRST.SECOND,THIRD AND FINAL READINGS. <br /> AN INTERIM ORDINANCE of the City of Everett relating to • <br /> temporary use permits and frequency, duration, and <br /> conditions for homeless encampments and declaring an <br /> emergency <br /> Moved by Council Member Hatlee,seconded by Council Member Roberts <br /> that this is declared to be the first,second,third and final readings of <br /> Council Bill No.0507.35. <br /> 5oojin Kim,Legal,stated that this is an emergency ordinance and if <br /> passed,It will require a hearing within 60 days.It will be effective for six <br /> months unless amended or revised. She gave a brier overview of the <br /> nance.
