July 19,2006 <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet that this is declared to be the third and final reading of Council <br /> Bill No.0607-34. <br /> Council President Stonecipher opened o public hearing regarding Council <br /> Bill No.0607-34,a proposed ordinance approving recommended changes <br /> in the City Charter. <br /> Council Member Olson gave an overview of the recommended changes to <br /> the City Chaser. He stated that the changes were submitted by the <br /> Charter Review Advisory Committee as well asa ncil task force <br /> consisting of himself and Council Members Roberts and Nielsen. <br /> Council Member Gipson questioned which changes were recommended <br /> by the Charter Review Advisory Committee end which ones were from the <br /> council task tome. <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to table this item until the July 26,2006 council meeting. <br /> Council President Stonecipher invited public comment. <br /> Jackie Minchaw,5607 S.2n0 Avenue,commended the Charter Review <br /> Advisory Committee for their work. He expressed his concem that the <br /> committee did not choose to recommend a City districting plan for the <br /> ection of council members. <br /> Moved by Council Member Nielsen,seconded by Council Member <br /> Olson to continue the public hearing until the July 26,2006 council <br /> meeting. <br /> Roll was called on the motion to continue the public hearing with all <br /> council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 210 <br />
