• <br /> July 26,2006 <br /> COUNCIL BILL N0.0607-27 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 2.020 of Ordinance No. <br /> 1671-88,as amended(EMC 18.02.020)by rezoning certain <br /> properties in the Downtown Planning Area to the B-3 Central <br /> Business District Zone to implement the zoning changes as <br /> proposed in the 2006 Downtown Plan <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member Nielsen <br /> that this Is declared to be the third and final reading of Council Bill No. <br /> 0607-27.' <br /> "This motion reflects the inclusion of updated materials. <br /> Moved by Council Member Nielsen,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to amend the motion to Incorporate the requested change <br /> for The Dally Herald property to a B-S zone with an 80 foot height <br /> restdctlon. <br />• <br /> Council Member Roberts spoke regarding non-conforming uses and <br /> requested that staff look at ways to buffer and provide protection for C-2 <br /> uses in the B-3 cones. <br /> Roll was called on the amendment with all council members voting yes <br /> except Council Members Overstreet.Olson,and Stonecipher who voted <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The City Clerk was directed to call the roll for the final disposition of the <br /> ordinance as amended. <br /> 223 <br />
