September 13,2008 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> am.,September 13,2006,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall,President Stonecipher presiding.Upon roll cell it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Council Members Roberts.Olson,Hance,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,and Stonecipher were present.Council Member Overstreet was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Olson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the September 6,2008 City Council were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAVOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson reminded everyone of two community events <br /> scheduled for Saturday,September 16,2006;the Mutt Shun at Silver <br /> Lake and the tour of Everett's histodc homes. <br /> He announced that Lanie McMullen has been chosen by the Govemor to <br /> serve on the Washington State Ms Commission. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts requested a brief summary of the[inflation which <br /> has been filed challenging a State statute regarding water. <br /> City Attorney Johnston stated that the City of Everett has an outside <br /> counsel working with the Attorney General regarding the issue and will <br /> provide the council members an analysis and background intonation In <br /> the future. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated that he will not be in attendance at the <br /> September 20,2008 council meeting. <br /> Council Member Nielsen announced that them will be a premiere showing <br /> of a film regarding Clerk Park on September 21,2006,7 p.m.,at the <br /> Everett Performing Arts Center. <br /> 283 <br />
