October 18,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was celled to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,October 18,2006,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson end Council Members Olson,Hetloe,Nielsen.and <br /> Stonecipher,were present. Council Members Roberts,Gipson and <br /> Overstreet were excused. <br /> Council Member Nielsen led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 11,2006 City Council were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> OC UNCIL <br /> Council Member Nielsen reported on his attendance at the Monte Cristo <br /> Awards Ceremony and the dedication of the new clock tower et the <br /> Everett Community College. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Johnston requested en executive session regarding a real <br /> estate matter and two litigation matters.The session is expected to last <br /> approximately one hour with no anticipated announcement to follow. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Eric Clem,2420 Grand#201,spoke regarding the need to synchronize <br /> the City of Everetts traffic signals to make commuting safer and easier. <br /> Jackie Minchew.5607 S.2n°Avenue.stated that he recently attended a <br /> conference on Peak Oil in Yellow Springs,Ohio. He proposed that the <br /> City Council appoint a Citizens Advisory Committee on Energy <br /> Vulnerability and recommended that they read Richard Hlndberg's book. <br /> The Oil Depletion Protocol." <br /> 313 <br />
