November 29,2008 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> m.November 29,2008.in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall,President Stonecipher presding.Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson,Ha900,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,Stonecipher and Overstreet were present.. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the November 17 and 22,2008 City Council meetings <br /> were approved as printed. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Overstreet stated that he will not be able to attend next <br /> week's council meeting as he will be attending National League of Cities' <br /> committee assignment meetings on that day. <br /> Council Member Gipson stated that he will not be able to attend the <br /> December 8,2006 council meeting as he will be attending the National <br /> League of Gifts'Conference. <br /> Council Member Malice stated that he also will not be in attendance at <br /> next week's council meeting as he will be attending the National League <br /> of Chea'Conference. <br /> Council Member Olson introduced Jim Hammond,Sound Transit,and Al <br /> Aldrich,Regional Transportation Investment District. <br /> JOINT SOUND TRANSIT/RTID BRIEFING <br /> Al Aldrich,RTID,and Jim Hammond,Sound Transit,spoke regarding the <br /> road and transit projects being developed for Pierce,Snohomish and King <br /> Counties. <br /> Jim Hammond reported on the progress of various Sound Transit projects. <br /> He gave statistics regarding the increase in ridership on the Express Bus <br /> System and Sounder Commuter Rail. He discussed taxing scenarios <br /> being considered by the Board for the November,2007 ballot.He slated <br /> 373 <br />
