December 20,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> p.m.,December 20,2006 In the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Council Members Roberts.Olson,Hatloe, <br /> Nielsen,and Stonecipher were present Council Members Gipson and <br /> Overstreet were excused. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the December 13,2006 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson introduced an emergency resolution pertaining to the <br /> repair of flood damage to the eastern side of the Ebey Slough Dike. <br /> RESOLUTION—PROTECTIVE MEASURES/TRANSMISSION <br /> LINE NO.5 <br /> Moved by Council Member Nielsen,seconded by Council Member <br /> Olson to adopt Resolution No.5843 declaring an emergency for <br /> protective measures for the No.5 Water Transmission Line and <br /> Puget Sound Energy Facilities within the dikes of former Diking <br /> District No.8(Sec.3,TN 28 R5E WM,Snohomish County,WA). <br /> Roll was celled with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Gipson and Overstreet who were excused. <br /> Motion cabled. <br /> DONATION—EVERETT ANIMAL SHELTER <br /> Mayor Stephenson introduced Gretchen Schaeffer,President of the <br /> Animal Rescue Foundation,a newly created non-profit organization that <br /> supports the Everett Animal Shelter. <br /> 406 <br />
