January 10,2007 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,January 10,2007.in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson,Hadoe,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,Stonecipher and Overstreet were present. <br /> Mayor Stephenson led the Pledge of Allowance. <br /> The minutes of the January 3,2007 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION—NATIONAL MENTORING MONTH <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed the month of January,2007 as"National <br /> Mentoring Month.'He presented the proclamation to Jude Bowman who <br /> accepted on behalf of Big Brothers.Big Sisters. <br /> AGREEMEN t WITHDRAWN—IDENTITY STRATEGY SERVICES <br /> Mayor Stephenson stated that the City Council authorized him to sign a <br /> contract with Marshall Strategy,Inc.to work with the City of Everett on an <br /> identity strategy.He remarked that after speaking with various members <br /> of the community,he has decided not to execute the contract. <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet to concur with Mayor Stephanson's decision not to <br /> execute the contract with Marshall Strategy,Inc. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 9 <br />
