• <br /> January 24,2007 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8,30 <br /> m.,January 24,2007 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Council Members Roberts,Olson,Notice,Nielsen,Stonecipher and <br /> Overstreet were present.Mayor Stephenson and Council Member Gipson <br /> were excused. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the January 17,2007 Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Olson stated that a new fare plan for Everett Transit <br /> Services was adopted last year.He requested Tom Hingson to give an <br /> update. <br /> REPORT—EVERETT TRANSIT UPDATE <br /> Tom Kingston,Everett Transit Director,reported on the new fare plan that <br /> was initiated four months ego. He indicated that it has resulted in <br /> increases7.7%) <br /> in Puget passes(16%),fare revenues(0.0%)and ridership <br /> COUNCIL PRESIDENT <br /> Council President Stonecipher reported that Police Chief Scharf has two <br /> announcements. <br /> POLICE CHAPLAIN <br /> Chief Scharf introduced Pastor Fred Zoeller who will serve as the new <br /> Everett Police Department Chaplain. <br /> 23 <br />
