January 24.2007 <br /> Rich Anderson thanked the city council for addressing these issues in <br /> support of the Everett Events Center. This has been a partnership <br /> between the PFD and the City beginning several years ago.The Events <br /> Center originated five years ago and this is part of the scheduled <br /> refinancing. We are now entering Into long term financing. The major <br /> item before you is the annual payment of$500,000 which will be applied <br /> to the variable rate debt. Another significant item is the continued city <br /> guarantee of that variable rate debt. <br /> Council Member Overstreet questioned if there is a conflict of interest as <br /> Council Member Olson is on the PFD Board. City Attorney Johnston <br /> stated that he didn't consider it a conflict of interest. <br /> Moved by Council Member Helloe and seconded by Council Member <br /> Olson to authorize and approve the following actions: <br /> AGREEMENT AMENDED—EVERETT EVENTS CENTER <br /> GROUND LEASE <br /> To authorize the Mayor to sign the interlocal agreement between the <br /> City of Everett and the Everett Public Facilities District amending the <br /> Everett Events Center Ground Lease. <br /> RESOLUTION—HOTELIMOTEL TAX DISTRIBUTION TO YEAR <br /> 2035-EVERETT PUBLIC FACILITIES DISTRICT <br /> To adopt Resolution No. 5859 extending the distribution of <br /> Hotel/Motel tax to the Everett Public Facilities District to the year <br /> 2036 superseding Resolution No.4972. <br /> AGREEMENT AMENDED—EVERETT PUBLIC FACILITIES <br /> DISTRICT-HOTELIMOTEL TAX DISTRIBUTION <br /> To approve the addendum to the Interlocal agreement between the <br /> City of Everett and the Everett Public Facilities District relating to the <br /> City's Hotel/Motel Tax distribution. <br /> 26 <br />
