• <br /> January 2a,2007 <br /> LEASE AGREEMENT—CONGRESSMAN LARSEN <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Rebels to authorize the Mayor to sign the district office lease <br /> extension with Congressman Larsen extending the lease for an <br /> additional two years. <br /> Roll was <br /> called with at council members voting yes except Council <br /> MemberOverstreet who abstained horn the vote and Council Member <br /> Gipson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> EASE AGREEMENT—METROPOLITAN MORTGAGE GROUP <br /> Moved by Council Member Nielsen,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet to authorize the Mayor to sign a hveyear lease agreement <br /> with Metropolitan Mortgage Group for leasing space in the Wall <br /> Street Building. <br /> Council Member Olson voiced concern that allocation of property to the <br /> pdvatelcommerciai sector would change the character of City Hall. He <br /> indicated he would like to see a report that shows that no city department <br /> needs the space. <br /> Council Member Nielsen stated that it is prudent fiscal management when <br /> there is extra space to extend c to a pdvete tenant and this is a relatively <br /> short term lease. <br /> Roll was <br /> called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> MemberOlson who voted no and CounGl Member Gipson who was <br /> excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 29 <br />
