March 7,2007 <br /> PUBLIC HEARING—COUNCIL BILL NO.0702-11 <br /> President Stonecipher opened a public hearing regarding Council Bill No. <br /> 0702-11,a proposed ordinance rezoning property located at 9208 Holly <br /> Ddve from R-2,single family detached,to R-1A,single family attached. <br /> David Tyler,Planning,gave an overview of the proposed rezone. He <br /> stated that the Hearing Examiner recommends approval along with a <br /> proposed building height modification that would allow an increase in the <br /> building height from 28 feet to a maximum of 41 feet. <br /> Shawna Habich,representing the applicant,Gamut 060,spoke regarding <br /> the proposed rezone and requested the council's approval. <br /> Ishbel Dickens,Columbia Legal Services,101 Yesler Way 8300,Seattle, <br /> representing homeowners at Holly Vista Mobile Manor,stated that she <br /> believes that the proposed rezone does not promote the bast long-tens <br /> Interest of the community and that there is currently no mitigation provided <br /> to offset the adverse impacts upon the existing land use.She discussed <br /> the lack of funds available In the State's relocation assistance fund. <br /> Elizabeth Rabideau,9228 Holly Drive#E6,gave a boat history of the <br /> homeowner's negotiations with the landowner,Mr.McWherter,and <br /> Gamut 360. <br /> John Woodring,2120 State Avenue 8201,Olympia,Attorney for Paul <br /> McWherter,clarified Mr.McWherter and Gamut 360's positions regarding <br /> relocation assistance.He stated that they are offering tenants$2,000.00 <br /> for Initial relocation expenses plus the cost to move the home to another <br /> community or to demolish the home on site. <br /> Robert Dobler,3726 Broadway,Suite 301,co-owner,Gamut 360.stated <br /> that they will pay whatever the cost is to demolish or move the unit If that <br /> amount exceeds the State allocation which is$7,500.00 for single units <br /> and$12,000.00 for double,they will pay the difference. <br /> Laurey Tobiason,Tobiason and Company,506 NE 73'Steel NE 81A, <br /> Seattle,representing Gamut 360,spoke regarding the site plan and the <br /> need for additional building heights.
