March 14,2007 <br /> Council Member Roberts related that the City of Everett has done an <br /> exemplary job of accepting density which is vital for the health of the <br /> entire region. The employment and growth numbers are an on-going <br /> process. He questioned if part of this exercise was a response to the <br /> Central Puget Sound Growth Hearing Board decision and whether the City <br /> has addressed the directions of the Central Puget Sound Growth Hearing <br /> Board in quantifying our population capacity and reconciling it with the <br /> county's numbers. <br /> Dave Koenig responded that the City's legal counsel,Eric Laschever,has <br /> advised that by today's action the city would satisfy those directions. <br /> Council Member Roberts related concern regarding unincorporated areas <br /> that are still within the city's Urban Growth Area but not within the city <br /> where the county approves projects in that area but those projects do not <br /> meet the city's standards. <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Gipson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.0703-12 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No.2021-94 Including <br /> subsequent amendments,as amended by Ordinance No.2055- <br /> 05,the 2005 Growth Management Comprehensive Plan for the <br /> City of Everett,documenting and revising population and <br /> employment capacities within the city limits and incorporating <br /> Snohomish County's capacities and targets for the <br /> Unincorporated Urban Growth Area. <br /> 89 <br />
