An annual summary of all claims up to$50,000 by the city <br /> attorneys office will also required. <br /> Council Member Nielsen noted that the ordinance was last revised twenty- <br /> three years ago and the new amounts are keeping up with inflation. <br /> AYES: Roberts,Olson,Hatlpe,Gipson,Nielsen,Stonecipher, <br /> Overstreet <br /> NAYS: None <br /> Ordinance No.2982-07 adopted. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING-VACATION <br /> President Stonecipher opened a public hearing regarding the vacation of <br /> a portion of the alley lying north of California Street between Rucker and <br /> Hoyt Avenues. <br /> Paul McKee,Real Property,explained that the proposal Is the vacation of <br /> the alley lying directly south of the main branch of the Everett Public <br /> Library between Rucker and Hoyt Avenues. The proposed vacation <br /> contains an area of approximately 5,400 square feet end in the B-3 <br /> Central Business Office zone.The Everett Elks Lodge and Skotdal Real <br /> Estate are the petitioners.They are seeking the proposed vacation as an <br /> integral part of the plan to redevelop the entire block south of the library. <br /> A full report has been prepared by coy staff and recommends that the <br /> proposed alley vacation should be approved subject to a couple of <br /> conditions:1)the city to retain a temporary utility easement over the alley <br /> until the utilities have been fully relocated at which time the easements will <br /> 117 <br />
