April 18,2007 <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts thanked all those involved in the Youth <br /> Achievement Awards. <br /> Council Member Nielsen presented a slide showing the cover of <br /> Washington State Public Works Magazine. He pointed out that the <br /> picture was of buildings along the Riverside end of Hewitt,an example of <br /> historic preservation in Everett,advertising the APWA Spring 2007 <br /> Conference. <br /> PRESENTATION—SNOHOMISH COUNTY TOURISM BUREAU <br /> Council Member Stonedpher introduced Amy Spain,Executive Director, <br /> Snohomish CountyTourism Bureau. <br /> Ms.Spane stated that the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau is the <br /> designated tourism marketing organization for Snohomish County.They <br /> are wholly funded by a podion of the County lodging tax and five of the <br /> members of their Board of Directors are from the City of Everett. She <br /> gave a brief overview of the strength of tourism in Snohomish County and <br /> discussed economic <br /> impacts,convention and group tour sales and <br /> service,tourism development,public relations and media,visitor services <br /> community relations. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attomey Johnston requested an executive session regarding a real <br /> estate matter.The session is expelled to last approximately 30 minutes <br /> with no anticipated announcement to follow. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,s onded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to approve the following consent items: <br /> 121 <br />
