July 16,2007 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,July 18,2007 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Stonecipher presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Council <br /> Members Olson,Hello,Gipson,Nielsen,Stonecipher,and Overstreet <br /> were present. Mayor Stephenson and Council Member Roberts were <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Hatloe led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 11,2007 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Members Hallos and Stonecipher abstained from the <br /> vote. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Overstreet stated that the council members and others <br /> will be receiving a draft environmental impact statement regarding the <br /> Plan 20/40 soon from the Puget Sound Regional Council.He encouraged <br /> the council members to take time to review it before the PSRC presents it <br /> to the council sometime in August. <br /> Council Member Nielsen stated that he attended a meeting at Sullivan <br /> Park where the Parks Department presented information and design <br /> concepts fora pedestrian end bicycle trail around Silver Lake. <br /> Council Member Gipson questioned whether staff had a response to <br /> Council Member Roberts coas at last week's council meeting <br /> regarding signs on the medians and public right-of-way. <br /> CM Iles,Administration,responded that staff is working on a memo to <br /> council and that they would be happy to discuss the sign regulations at a <br /> future meeting. <br /> REPORT—SUZANNE EVISTON <br /> Police Chief Schad gave an update on Officer Suzanne Eviston's <br /> condition. He commended the Fire Department for the care and <br /> compassion they showed her at the scene of the accident <br /> 242 <br />
