July 18,2007 <br /> Bob Larsen,Planning,gave an overview of the proposed amendment. <br /> President Stonecipher Invited public comment. <br /> Red Sly. 919 Wall Street.spoke in opposition to the proposed <br /> amendments.She expressed concem regarding the Intent of the rezone, <br /> parking,and open space. <br /> Carlene Rawson,823 Charles,Port Gardner Neighborhood liaison,stated <br /> that they have advocated for open space in that area. <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was <br /> called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> MemberRoberta who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.0707-06 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 202190, as <br /> amended,the Comprehensive Plan Map from Heavy Industrial <br /> (5.1)to Central Business District(0.1)and amending Section <br /> 2.020 of Ordinance No.1671-89,as amended(EMC 19.02.020), <br /> with a Rezone from M.2(Heavy Manufacturing)to B3(Central <br /> Business District)on a site located west of Bond Street <br /> between Hewitt Street and Wall Street <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member Nielsen <br /> that this is declared to be the third and final reading of Council Bill No. <br /> 0707-06 and the City Clerk Is directed to call the roll for the final <br /> disposition of the ordinance. <br /> 253 <br />
