July 18,2007 <br /> Donovan Historic District,a revision to the Zone Equivalency Table,an <br /> update of the Transportation Element,and an update to the Capital <br /> Improvement Plan for public schools. <br /> Bob Larsen,Planning,gave an overview of the proposed amendments. <br /> Michael Stringhem,Perteet Engineering,spoke regarding the update of <br /> the Transportation Element.He stated that the key element of the update <br /> to the transportation plan is the fact that it is an integrated multi-modal <br /> plan.He talked about mode of travel,goals and how to accomplish those, <br /> the pubic transit plan,bicycles and pedestrians as separate components, <br /> and roads. <br /> President Stonecipher invited public comment. <br /> Bob Jackson,717 33i°Street,John Lindstrom,1211 Rucker,and Gary <br /> Galdbaum,Health Officer and Director,Snohomish Health District,3020 <br /> Rucker,spoke in support of the updates to the transportation element. <br /> They commended Penner on their report but expressed a desire and a <br /> need for more emphasis to be placed on bicycle and pedestrian travel. <br /> Gary Goldbaum distributed a report on obesity in Snohomish County. <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll wascalled with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> MembeRoberts who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.9707-02 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 1 of Ordinance No.2021- <br /> 94,as amended,the City of Everett Comprehensive Plan, <br /> 247 <br />
