July 16,2007 <br /> Bob Larsen,Planning,gave an overview of the proposed amendment. <br /> President Stonecipher invited public comment. <br /> Sart Sly,919 Wall Street,spoke in opposition to the proposed <br /> amendments.She expressed concern regarding the intent of the rezone, <br /> parking,and open space. <br /> Carlene Rawson,623 Charles,Port Gardner Neighborhood liaison,stated <br /> that they have advocated for open space in that area. <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Robers who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.070746 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 2021-94, as <br /> amended,the Comprehensive Plan Map from Heavy Industrial <br /> (5.1)to Central Business District(11)and amending Section <br /> 2.020 of Ordinance Na.1671-69,as amended(EMC 19.02.020), <br /> with a Rezone from M-2(Heavy Manufacturing)to Ba(Central <br /> Business District)on a site located west of Band Street <br /> between Hewitt Street and Wall Street <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member Nielsen <br /> that this is declared to be the third and final reading of Council Bill No. <br /> 070746 and the City Clerk is directed to call the roll for the final <br /> disposition of the ordinance. <br /> 253 <br />
