August 15,2007 <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO,0707-55 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE establishing the City or Everett Divereity <br /> Advisory Board to identify and prioritize Issues regarding <br /> diversity and inclusion and offer recommendations to the <br /> Moyer of the City of Everett <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet that this is declared to be the third and final reading of Council <br /> Bill No.0707-55,the amended version.. <br /> 'This motion reflects Inclusion of updated materials. <br /> Council Member Roberts introduced the members of the ad hoc <br /> committee who developed the committee on diversity. He discussed <br /> several amendments to the proposed ordinance:the board Is advisory to <br /> both the Mayor and the Council,the board provides recommendations to <br /> the Mayor and Council and not City departments as inferred by Section <br /> 3d;and clarification of the board's purpose and membership. <br /> The City Clerk was directed to call the roll for the final disposition of the <br /> ordinance as amended. <br /> AYES, Roberts,Olson,Gipson,Nielsen,Stonecipher, <br /> Overstreet <br /> NAYS: None <br /> EXCUSED:Hatioe <br /> Ordinance No.3023-07 adopted. <br /> Council Member Gipson left the Council Chambers. <br /> 283 <br />
