August 15,2007 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,August 15,2007,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,Stonecipher and Overstreet were present Council Member <br /> Hatloe was excused. <br /> Mayor Stephanson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 8,2007 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts thanked the members of the community and the <br /> Mayor who helped organize yesterday's meagre with Dr.Huntsman <br /> regarding the proposed University of Washington branch campus. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Johnston reousted an ecutive session regarding a <br /> labor/personnel matter.The session is expected to last approximately 15 <br /> minutes with no anticipated announcement to follow. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Matthew Lacey,1702 Virgnia,Director,Everett Rowing Association, <br /> thanked the City Council for their support of the new rowing dock. He <br /> introduced several members of the rowing club and presented Council <br /> President Stonecipher with a signed picture of the dock. <br /> Will Knedlik,P.O.Box 99,Kirkland,stated that he was appointed by the <br /> Sound Transit Board to write the formal opposition statement to the <br /> Roads and Transit ballot proposal. He commended Council Member <br /> Olson's eeods,as Vice Chairman of the Sound Transit Board,to get the <br /> best transit servi:e possible for Snohomish County.He remarked that the <br /> 280 <br />
