September 12,2001 <br /> Water Pollution Control Facility Expansion Phase A construction <br /> contract with Hoffman Construction Company extending the contract <br /> by 43 days. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council • <br /> • <br /> Member Overstreet who was excused. <br /> • <br /> Motion carried. <br /> • <br /> • <br /> JOB COMPLETE—WATER POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY <br /> EXPANSION PHASES <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to accept the Water Pollution Control Facility Phase A <br /> project as complete and authorize the Mayor to sign a certificate of <br /> completion with Holtman Construction Company of Washington <br /> which will begin tho 60-day retention period prior to the release of <br /> retalnage in the amount of Si,594,919.40. <br /> Tom Thetford,Utilities,gave a brief presentation regarding the project. <br /> He remarked that this was the first time the GC/CM (general <br /> contractor/construction management) method had been used and <br /> discussed the project goals and objectives. The process resulted in a <br /> considerable underrun. <br /> Council Members Harlem and Olson commended Tom and his staff for a <br /> job well done. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Overstreet who was excused. <br /> Motion carded. <br /> • <br /> 306 <br />
