October 31,2007 <br /> IW North <br /> As I present this message to you today,I am pleased to note that Everett4 <br /> two Nees are on the short list under consideration for a UW campus. I <br /> would like to thank everyone in our community who came forward In a <br /> concerted effort to communicate the many advantages that Everett brings <br /> to the table.While much work remains,I am encouraged by our progress <br /> and am optimistic for a successful outcome for our community. <br /> In closing,I want to thank City Council for its leadership and commitment <br /> to Everett;our dedicated volunteers,who give so generously of their time <br /> and talents;and City staff members for their constant efforts to Improve <br /> the way we do business.Our vision of Everett as a vibrant,regional <br /> center for business,education,recreation,and the arts Is now unfolding. <br /> I look forward to working with all of you to help our city achieve its full <br /> potential in the years ahead. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> • <br /> Ray Stephenson <br /> Mayor <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson stated that he has receNed calls from residents <br /> in the vicinity of the hospital that are having difficulty parking near their <br /> homes. <br /> President Stonecipher responded that she had been recently briefed by <br /> Ryan Sass,city staff.regarding parking and he would be able to work with <br /> Council Member Gipson. <br /> Council Member Roberts thanked Madan Krell for her work as k pro tem <br /> council member. <br /> Council Member Krell stated that she has enjoyed her brief break from <br /> retirement and has enjoyed working with staff and colleagues again. <br /> • <br /> 360 <br />
