November 7,2007 <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Members Hatloe,Roberts and Overstreet congratulated all of the <br /> incumbent council members on their re-elections. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated that tomorrow will be his first meeting <br /> opportunity as a Sound Transit Board Member which should prove <br /> interesting in light of the fact that Proposition No.1 Is failing in all three <br /> counties.There will be a need for this region to address the traffic end <br /> light rail issues. <br /> Council Member Overstreet commented on the Senior Center monthly <br /> newsffitter,"Top Spin",that relates to the new ping pong program at the <br /> Senior Center. Seniors will soon be attending and competing at the <br /> Seattle Turkey Shoot table tennis toumament. <br /> Council Member Nielsen related that he,President Stonecipher and some <br /> transit stag members attended a conference on transportation <br /> alternatives.He will bring forth a report next week. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Ned Johnston,City Attorney,requested an cutive session <br /> at the <br /> conclusffin of today's meeting regarding a real estate matter,a labor <br /> matter and a litigation matter to last approximately thirty minutes with no <br /> announcement following. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet to approve the following consent items: <br /> RESOLUTION-CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No.5957 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br /> 370 <br />
