• <br /> March 14,2008 <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher that this is the third and final reading of Council BB No.0803- <br /> 08. <br /> 80308. <br /> Council Member Olson stated that a significant share of the cost of this <br /> project will be reimbursed by Snohomish County through a cooperative <br /> agreement which is still being negotiated at this time. <br /> The City Clerk was directed to call the roll for the final disposition of the <br /> ordinance. <br /> AYES: Olson,Hagce,Gipson,Nielsen,Stonecipher,Affholter <br /> NAYS: None <br /> EXCUSED:Roberts <br /> Ordinance No.5058.08 adopted. <br /> RESOLUTION—LOCAL REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded <br /> onded by Council Member <br /> Afiholter to adopt Resolution No.5997requesting that the Federal <br /> Office of Economic Adjustment recognize the City of Everett as the <br /> local redevelopment authority under the Base Realignment and <br /> Closure Procedures for the disposition of the Oswald Army Reserve <br /> Center property located at 1110 Rainier Avenue. <br /> Council Member Gipson questioned what the neat step will be. <br /> Allan Gillen,Planning,stated that a signed copy of the resolution will be <br /> sent to the Office of Economic Adjustment,and if designated as the LRA, <br /> it will be published in the Federal Register. <br /> Victor Hams,3017 Lombard,requested that as the Cfty proceeds with • <br /> their request to be designated as the Local Redevelopment Authority,they <br /> incorporate language in future directives to include a permanent memorial <br /> to David Oswald and the fine men and women who represent our City as ' <br /> they serve our nation. <br /> 72 <br />
