March 19,2008 <br /> • <br /> Roll was <br /> called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> MemberOlson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING—VACATION <br /> President Nielsen opened a public hearing regarding the vacation of the <br /> eastAvest alley in Block 318 of the Plat of Riverdale Addition. <br /> Paul McKee,Real Property,explained that thy:proposal is the vacation of <br /> an undeveloped deed end alert lying north of 16.Street and east of East <br /> Marine View Orion.It contains an area of approximately 1.330 square feet <br /> and is in the C-2 Heavy Commercial Zone.RM3P Investments LLC which <br /> owns the property surrounding the alley fled a petition on September 7, <br /> 2007 seeking the proposed vacation.On February 20,2008 City Council <br /> passed Resolution No.5991 accepting the petition and setting today as <br /> the public hearing date for the requested vacation.All required notices <br /> have been provided and all city departments end utility providers have <br /> reviewed the proposed vacation.A bill report has been prepared and City <br /> staff recommends that the proposed alley vacation should be approved <br /> subject to compensation to the City equivalent to the full appraised value <br /> of the area to be vacated.
