• <br /> April 16,2008 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,April 18,2008 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Nielsen presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson; Council Members Roberts, Olson, Gipson, Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher,and Afihoiter were present. Council Member Hatloe was <br /> excused. <br /> Scout Troop No.121,Den 10,led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the April 9,2008 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> 2008 MAYOR'S YOUTH ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS <br /> Kate Reardon,Administration,introduced the winners of the 2008 Mayor's <br /> Youth Achievement Awards: Miranda Benner,age 18,Cascade High <br /> School;Chelsi Donaldson,age 20,Sequoia High School;Patrick Pollard, <br /> age 18,Mariner High School;Tremain Frazier,age 77,Mariner High <br /> School;Max Mowrer,age 17,Everett High School;and Nghia Nguyen, <br /> age 18,Cascade High School. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Stonecipher brought forth two voluntary cleanup <br /> agreements. <br /> Mark Sadler,Utilities,stated that a year ago the City of Everett entered <br /> into a voluntary cleanup agreement with the Department of Ecology for <br /> the entire Simpson property.These two agreements divide that site into <br /> two different areas with a voluntary cleanup agreement for each area. <br /> This was an administrative request from the Department of Ecology so <br /> that they can issue a no further action"letter on the Simpson Pad area. <br /> 109 <br />
