May 28.2008 <br /> REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS—LIONS PARK <br /> To author¢e Request for Proposals No.2008-047 for playground <br /> design and equipment at Lions Park. <br /> BID CALL—LIONS PARK RENOVATION <br /> To authorize a call for bids for Lions Park Renovation project. <br /> SID CALL—BUS SHELTERS <br /> To authorize Bid Call No.2008-060 for the purchase of bus shelters. <br /> Roll was called with all council members vying yes. <br /> Motion carded. <br /> RESOLUTION—GIFT TO CITY <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher to adopt Resolution No.6023 accepting a donation of <br /> $20,000 from Barbara Lamoureux towards design and Installation of <br /> the Compass Rose Mosaic by artist Glen Andersen at the plaza <br /> overlook at Grand Avenue Parkin memory of Becky Fauver. <br /> Barbara Lamoureux explained that Becky Fewer had helped her to fulfill <br /> her dream of creating something of beauty on a very important corner to <br /> her in historic North Everett. She encouraged everyone to stop by the <br /> park and admire the"Compass Rose°that is of lasting tribute to a life well <br /> lived despite its short duration and never forget that somewhere someone <br /> touches all of us and we need to pass that awesome magic on. With <br /> heartfelt gratitude she stated that she is making this donation to the city <br /> that she loves in memory of one of her favorite people,Becky Rawer. <br /> Council Member Roberts thanked Barbara for her donation. He shared <br /> that he had hired Becky when she came to work for the Everett Planning • <br /> Department and related that she was a great professional and is missed. <br /> 160 <br />
