June 4,2008 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> am.,June 4,2008,1n the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Nielsen presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson,Gipson,Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher and Attholter were present. Council Member Hetloe was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the May 28,2008 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson commented that he had a very enlightening <br /> experience on the study mission weh the Seattle Trade Alliance. He <br /> found out that graffiti is an intemational problem.He was impressed with <br /> the educational systems of two of the safest countries In the world.He <br /> stated that this has been an invaluable experience in a number of areas. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts reported that he and the Mayor attended the <br /> opening of the Mukilteo Station and rode the Sounder to Seattle.It was a <br /> great event. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Brad Cattle,Interim City Attorney,requested an eaacutive session <br /> regarding three litigation matters to last approximately thirty minutes with <br /> no announcement following. <br /> 164 <br />
