July 23,2008 <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Louise Stanton-Masten,President and CEO,Everett Area Chamber of <br /> Commerce,recognized and thanked Rex Fullerton,Premier Golf,and his <br /> staff,the golf pm,the catering manager,and Gary Sair and Lori <br /> Cummings,Parks,for making their golf tournament at Legion Memorial <br /> Golf Course a very successful event <br /> Marilyn Rosenberg,2410 Maple,owner of Zippy's Java Lounge,stated <br /> that she is a bike commuter and expressed her desire to see bike lanes <br /> and more bike racks in downtown Everett. <br /> Nancy Johnson,Imagine Children's Museum,announced that they were <br /> nominated through parentsconnectcom fora Nickelodeon award in three <br /> different categories along with Seattle's Museum of Flight,the Seattle <br /> Children's Museum,and EMP.They won in every category. <br /> Kathleen Grieci,2506 E.Grand,thanked the council,coy attomey and <br /> deputy police chief for listening to her concerns last week regarding <br /> customer service. She stated that her issues resolved. She <br /> expressed concern regarding the number of sex offenders,recovering <br /> drug addicts and alcoholics who may be allowed to live in her <br /> neighborhood. <br /> Kelly Mitchell,3510 25.Street,questioned whether the city attorney had <br /> met with Mr.Westford regarding the McManus Manston,and if not,when <br /> that meeting might take place.She also questioned the status of Council <br /> Member Olson's suggestion that an injunction be placed on the McManus <br /> House to keep more individuals from,moving in until the perk and <br /> Evergreen Manor distance issues were looked Into. <br /> Valerie Steel,2521 Grand,Bayside Neighborhood.expressed concern <br /> regarding the number of registered sex offenders who are being allowed <br /> to live in her neighborhood. <br /> Council President Nielsen requested that the police department include <br /> the council members In their notifications of registered sex offenders in <br /> the future. <br /> 228 <br />
