August 20,2008 <br /> Moved by Council Member Olsc,r,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to amend the proposed ordinance to direct staff to add <br /> verbiage stating that construction of the 175 foot bed tower would <br /> not commence until the hospital obtains a certificate of need from <br /> the State. <br /> Roll was called on the amendment with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Moved by Council Member Stonecipher,seconded by Council <br /> Member Olson to amend the proposed ordinance to direct staff to <br /> incorporate appropriate language that would require that prior to <br /> going forward the hospital leadership would work with the City <br /> planners to come up with a meaningful commute trip reduction plan <br /> that can help reduce the number of cars that are driving alone to <br /> these facilities and that they meet the mode splits that are outlined In <br /> the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> City Attomey Iles requested clarification as to whether the council wanted <br /> the language from the amendment on the college and the two <br /> amendments relative to the hospital drafted and brought back to them,or <br /> whether they were authorizing staff to draft the language and insert it <br /> appropriately in the two documents. <br /> Council President Nielsen stated that the language should be brought <br /> back to the council. <br /> Roll was called on the amendment with all council members voting yes <br /> except Hato°,Gipson and Affhofer who voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The City Clerk was directed to call the roll for the final disposition of the <br /> ordinance as amended. <br /> 261 <br />
