October 1,2008 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,October 1,2008,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Nielsen presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Olson,Hatloe,Gipson,Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher and Aflholter were present. Council Member Roberts was <br /> excused. <br /> The minutes of the September 24,2008 Everett City Council meeting <br /> were approved as printed. <br /> Council Member Olson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Council Member Olson mentioned that he attended the National League <br /> of Cities Steering Committee meeting regarding economic development <br /> last week at Fort Smith,Arkansas,end will be giving his report next week. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Jim Iles,City Attorney,requested an executive session at the end of the <br /> meeting to last approximately 40 minutes wkh no ments <br /> regarding five items:one personnel issue to reemployee's <br /> performance;a legal matter concerning city enforcement action;and three <br /> mai estate matters to consider minimum price at which property can be <br /> sold or leased. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Hatloe to approve the fallowing consent ltems: <br /> RESOLUTION—CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No.8062 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved Iaims against the City of Everett In the amount of <br /> 327 <br />
