October 15,2008 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,October 15,2008 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Nielsen presiding.Upon roll call h was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson:Council Members Roberts,Olson,Hatloe,Gipson,Nielsen, <br /> and Stonecipher were present Council Member AIholter was excused. <br /> Council Member Hetloe led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 8,2008 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson reported that he and Pat McClain meta group from <br /> the Everett Chamber of Commerce and local businesses in Tri-Cities on <br /> Sunday to tour the WSU branch campuses in Tri-Cities and Vancouver, <br /> Washington. The purpose of the trip was to determine how the cities <br /> were successful,both legislatively and in the community. <br /> Louise Stanton-Masten,Everett Chamber of Commerce,gave a brief <br /> report of the tour from a business perspective. <br /> The Mayor announced that former Council Member Bob Overstreet and <br /> his wife,Myrna,were named the Lou <br /> Denny <br /> award <br /> winners this year for <br /> Campfire where Myrna serves as President the <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed October 18,2008 as°Everett Symphony <br /> Day."
