October 22,2008 <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> David Green,1410 Oakes;Robert Carpenter,1419 Oakes;and Garrlk <br /> Hudson-Falcon,1418 Lombard,spoke regarding en incident on October <br /> • <br /> 4,2908 in which the City sewer backed up and flooded their homes.They <br /> questioned what caused the flooding and requested assurances that it <br /> wouldn't reoccur. <br /> Tom Thetford,Utilities,stated that they have been unable to detect the <br /> cause of the backup.He suggested that homeowners install a back water <br /> valve to help prevent flooding in the future. <br /> Bob Wohl,1325 Lombard,spoke regarding traffic congestion in the <br /> neighborhood resulting from hospital construction. He suggested en <br /> alternative route for large trucks and trailers. <br /> Darrell Gonzales,22067'"Street,questioned why Waverly was blocked <br /> with a barrier. <br /> Dongho Chang,Traffic Engineer,explained that the City met with the <br /> neighborhood and Everett Community College last year related to a <br /> proposed parking garage on Waverly.
