November 19,2008 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,November 19,2008 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Nielsen presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson; Council Members Roberts, Olson, Hatloe, Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher and Affholter were present. Council Member Gipson was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the November 10,2008 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed.Council Member Robeds abstained from the vole. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed November 23 through November 29,2008 <br /> as'Family Week in Everett°and requested that residents recognize the <br /> contributions that families offer as an essential part of our community.He <br /> presented the proclamation to Winnie Corral of the family support centers. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Members Olson,Stonecipher.Robeds and Nielsen stated that <br /> they attended the National League of Cities'Conference in Florida and <br /> would defer their reports until next week's city council meeting. <br /> Council Member Hatloe stated that the National League of Cities <br /> presented Mark Olson with a diamond award.one of their highest <br /> leadership awards.He presented Council Member Olson with his plaque. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Barb Lamoureux,1027 Lombard.expressed concern regarding the 500 <br /> foot notification area for public meetings.She stated that it needs to be a <br /> 387 <br />
